OFFICIAL SUMMER PRACTICE SCHEDULE

August 10 @ HHS track from 7:00 to 9:45 A.M.

August 10 @ Camp Wartburg. Leaving at 1:00 PM from HHS parking lot.

August 11 @ Camp Wartburg from 7:00 to 9:30 AM and return to HHS

August 12 @ VFW 7:00 to 9:00 AM.

August 13 @ Coach Bradley’s house 7:00 to 9:30 AM. Meet at HHS for rides at 7:00 at HHS faculty parking lot. (10409 Lower Marine Road, Marine)

August 14 REST DAY

August 15 @ St. Joseph’s (St. Paul) Cemetery from 6:00 to 8:45 P.M. Bring swimwear (girls in sportsbras/trunks).

August 16 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! Practices will be held immediately after school for rest of season (weather permitting).

Each athlete must have a physical dated after November 5, 2010 to participate. This physical has to be on record at HHS.

No practice will be rained-out, but a practice could be moved due to the weather. Show up at the designated site to find out if a practice has been moved.

It is our goal to complete practices by 5:45 P.M. during after school practices. Our ‘Long Run’ practices will be approximately 30 minutes longer than other practices. They will be held on Mondays mostly.

Things to pack

Sleeping bag or sheets/blanket (single bed-sized)
pillow
towel, wash cloth
toiletries
underwear
socks
running shoes
shirts
shorts
swim suit (though I don’t think we’ll have an opportunity to swim)
sleepwear
flashlight (for tag?)
insect repellant
sunscreen
sweatshirt—cabin is air-conditioned!
healthy snack if in small quantity
water/Gatorade (although I will be bringing the water cooler)

Things to NOT pack (bring nothing valuable and nothing that takes up space—pack light)

Jewelry
money (small amounts only)
curling irons/hair dryers

Included is a medical form required by Camp Wartburg. Not sure it has to be thoroughly completed but any medical conditions that we need to be made aware of need to be included on the sheet. The contact numbers and parent permission signatures are quite important.

Again, this is NOT a required cross country trip and is not a Highland Community Schools trip. The cost of the trip is $41 with the money being paid to me (Doug Bradley) before we leave.
